Born and raised in South Africa, Floyd Lavine currently has one foot in Cape Town and one foot in Berlin, as he likes to say himself. Drawing on both the rhythms and groove of his native country and the cold, raw electronic music heard in the clubs of the German capital, Floyd has built his own unique sound that he has been playing in Berlin since RISE parties were launched in 2015.

In Südafrika geboren und aufgewachsen, steht Floyd Lavine noch heute mit einem Bein in Kapstadt, befindet sich gleichzeitig mit dem anderen bereits in Berlin, wo er seit 2015 Resident-DJ der Veranstaltungsreihe „RISE“ ist. Musikalisch schöpft er Inspiration aus den Rhythmen und dem Groove seiner südafrikanischen Heimat, lässt sich auch oft und gern vom düsteren und brachialen Techno der Berliner Clubs mitreißen. Floyd Lavines besonderer, aus Kapstädter und Berliner Böden geernteter Klang erklingt auch heute Abend bei United We Stream!

Né et élevé en Afrique du Sud, Floyd Lavine a aujourd’hui un pied à Cape Town et un pied à Berlin, comme il aime le dire lui-même. Puisant à la fois dans les rythmes et le groove de son pays natal et dans l’électronique froide et brute entendu dans les clubs de la capitale allemande, Floyd s’est construit un son unique qu’il joue à Berlin depuis les débuts des soirées RISE, en 2015.
