Yann Tiersen fills the empty halls of Berlin’s disused Tempelhof Airport with his adventurous and sophisticated music, joined on two tracks by his wife Emilie Quinquis. Filmed in monochrome, the striking architecture of the site provides a powerful yet minimalist setting for his dreamlike electro. A place of transit at a standstill welcoming a composer always on the move over a career now spanning four decades. A thrilling contrast !
